Betty's Place East -

Core & Cluster Women's Refuge

Betty’s Place East is a purpose-built Core & Cluster Women's Refuge that has capacity to provide accommodation and outreach support for up to 7 women and their children who are fleeing family and domestic violence.

The award-winning site, opened in July 2026, has seven fully self-contained units including studio, one- and two-bedroom options, and a wheelchair-accessible unit, each with their own courtyard. There is also a multi-purpose communal building, offering a shared space for women and children to come together.

The Core and Cluster refuge design assists families to begin rebuilding their lives in a safe, private and supportive environment.

Case Management

Our team has a specialist focus on domestic and family violence. They can assist you in navigating services, obtaining legal advice and developing a plan to make sure you and your family are safe.

Women and children who come to stay at Betty's Place East work closely with a case manager who will:

  • Develop a plan to keep you safe

  • Work with you to develop some goals for the future

  • Support you in achieving these goals

We work hard to make sure our accommodation provides a homely environment while focusing on your safety.

We encourage you to contact us and organise a tour if you feel unsure about staying at Betty's Place East.

Yes Unlimited also offers outreach support to women and children who are not using our accomodation services
